[JohnSchinker] I'm a technology director for a public school district in northern Ohio
[Alex Ragone] Thanks for intro John.
[arvind] hi john, will be a little more attentive to the chatroom now that the kids are gone
[JohnSchinker] No big deal -- you guys talk; I don't really have much to contribute. I just happened to still be logged in after the kids left.
[arvind] they were so excited to have listeners
[arvind] thanks for being there
[JohnSchinker] no big deal -- I was eating lunch, and looking around wb, and saw that it was on. I didn't plan to actually tune in or anything :)

[JohnSchinker] 21st century skills: I like the Time article definition. (1) An improved knowledge of global cultures and societies. (2) Critical thinking, problem solving skills, and the ability to innovate. (3) Information literacy, including finding, filtering, evaluating, synthesizing, and drawing conclusions from information. (4) The ability to work with others as a team.
[lee] i can relate to that
[lee] we are starting youthbridges arvind
[JohnSchinker] I was away for a while -- I don't know how far you've moved off the topic. But have you seen this? http://skillscommission.org/
[lee] do you think your kids would be interested in joining?
[arvind] my kids are in other classes right now unfortunately
[lee] Micah will be hosting the first show coming up in the next week or so
[arvind] but next week we go back to regular scheduled classes so youthbridges might work then
[lee] well it will be from 10 - 1130 at some point for one half hour
[lee] not sure exactly the time yet
[lee] it wont start till after next week or next week later in the week
[arvind] lets talk on skype later, we can go over all this stuff. lots of exciting possibilities lee
