Welcome to this week's EdTechTalk (ETT) newsletter!
NOTE: The ETT Newsletter Team is planning to take a short break over the holidays and will resume our weekly newsletters on Saturday, January 9, 2010. That will give all of us a chance to take a breath and get caught up on some of the back webcasts that we haven't had a chance to listen to yet. Happy Holidays from your Newsletter Gang: (Peggy George, Kim Caise, Lisa Parisi, Lisa Durff)
In spite of a very busy week for everyone, there have been many exciting opportunities for learning and professional growth this week! The Edublogs Awards ceremony held online in Elluminate was a fantastic celebration, and lots of fun for everyone. If you missed the event you can view the recording here: http://tinyurl.com/edublogawards09 Through everyone’s hard work we have a great list of new blogs / sites, cool ideas and resources that are helpful to our teaching. The K12 Online Conference has just concluded two full weeks of incredible professional development presentations and the great news is that they will be available for free, indefinitely. Don't forget...There will be one more fireside chat with the Week 2 Keynote Presenters in the ETT studio chatroom at http://www.edtechtalk.com/studio (Note: the chats will not be at the previous link of http://www.edtechtalk.com/live.) What happens when a homegrown webcaster has too many things going on during the same time period? She thinks that she already posted a show but realizes (finally) that she didn't. So here it is, the November 22, 2009 show. Sorry folks. Lisa, Maria and Sheila discussed the issue of dealing with a very "chatty" classroom, where the noise level is high but productivity is good. Later in the show, Diana Laufenberg, from the Science Leadership Academy in Philadelphia joined the conversation and talked a bit about Educon2.2.
