Bonus Edtechtalk Newsletter - service interruptions and community participation

Hi everyone

I'm sending an unauthorized newsletter (I'll probably hear it from the newsletter team) to tell you about why edtechtalk has been a little weird lately (that is, in a technical way). We've been compromised by some irritating folks who apparently want us to be more informed about the pornography scene on the internet.

We are a community driven website, with no other goal than that greater glory of our own learning... The 'our' in that statement is the really important part. There's no one 'in charge' of edtechtalk. No secret cabal of decision makers... just a bunch of folks who think it might be interesting to learn together. If you'd like to be more involved, you can be. If you also happen to be handy with a server, that's good too.

If any of you have questions about this or anything else... feel free to contact me.

Technical Details

Jeff and John are mostly responsible for discovering this (in that 'wholly responsible' way) and this has also lead us to reconsider our current hosting situation. Over the weekend, we've found a new VPS to host edtechtalk and hopefully by next weekend we'll be living on our new server. All details for passwords etc... will be made available to those who need them.
