Bringing the Writing Project and WorldBridges Communities together in July
Teachers Teaching Teachers will have three special shows in July.
Wednesday, July 11
9:00 pm Eastern / 6:00 pm Pacific
EdTechTalk/WorldBridges meets NWP Tech Liaisons/Technology Matters
Writing Project teachers who have been in Tech Matters in past summers will discuss answers to the prompt: "Moments I remember from Tech Matters" This will be our kick off event in which we'll invite all former TM participants to join the Technology Matters website and the webcasts listed in this proposal.
Wednesday, July 18
9:00 pm Eastern / 6:00 pm Pacific (before dinner on the first day of Tech Matters`07)Teachers Teaching Teachers: NWP Tech Liaisons/Technology Matters meets EdTechTalk/WorldBridges
I would like to invite producers of other EdTechTalk shows to come on to introduce themeselves and talk about the power of webcasting for them. They would be answering the prompt: "Moments I remember from our webcast." Coming at the end of the first day of Tech Matters`07, this will be a nice opportunity for volunteers from Tech Matters to learn more about webcasting and the WorldBridges communities.
Wednesday, July 25
9:00 pm Eastern / 6:00 pm Pacific
Now What?
The inquiries in this show will become more clear during Tech Matters`07. This webcast will come shortly after people arrive home from that event. We will discuss what's next for our Writing Project sites, our classrooms and our connections from the work in Chico and online at http://nwptechmatters07.org, http://teachersteachingteachers.org, and http://edtechtalk.com.
Webcasts we propose to do during Tech Matters`07
We will offer webcasting as one of the "Birds of a Feather" each afternoon. Our plan is to sandwich a one-hour webcast focused on a panel of "off-site presenters" -- Writing Project Tech Liaisons and former Tech Matters participants as well as recognized people in the field-- with a half-hour pre-show and a half-hour post-show that Susan Ettenheim would run to introducing the technical sides of webcasting. The names listed in this section are meant to illustrate what we might do on a "Birds of a Feather" Webcast. Guests such as these are one element, the other is the people who visit and choose to participate.

Enacting the work at your site
After building enthusiam, interest, and a bit of skill with webcasting during the first three days of Tech Matters`07 -- with any interested on-site or off-site participants -- we will ask these new webcasters to take turns streaming on Saturday as we interview participants about their learning, their plans, their vision for using technology to support the goals of their Writing Project site.
Teachers Teaching Teachers will invite three Tech Matters`07 participants (on-site or off-site) to host a show in August.
Depending on skills, interest, and time, a guest host will do all or part of the following: plan and invite guests to the show, webcast, edit and upload the podcast, and write a show description (all with the support of WorldBridges' Webcast Academy, when possible). The guest-hosted shows will be:
Wednesday, August 8
9:00 pm Eastern / 6:00 pm Pacific
Wednesday, August 15
9:00 pm Eastern / 6:00 pm Pacific
