Seedlings 2009-06-18 with Cynthia Curry as our guest!

We had a fabulous show discussing UDL, Universal Design for Learning. We believe it is going to be the next best practice adopted by schools around the world. Cynthia Curry, an exceptional educator from Maine, led us through the discussion of how and why this is and should be the underpinning of all classrooms. Join us in the podcast and check out the chat.

One more SEEDLINGS show for this school season, then SEEDLINGS goes on hiatus for the summer season.

Join Bob and Cheryl while we interview Cynthia Curry, from Maine, as she leads us down the path using assistive technology tools in our classrooms as well as why we should all adopt Univeral Design for Learning as our best practice.

Join Alice, Bob and I as we speak to two different guests. We speak to Doug Taylor from Podcast People one of our favorite podcasting sites. Then we move to Arcademicskillbuilders with Dave  Scherrer. We were surprised and joined by many preservice teachers in the chat room.

Then we move to Arcademicskillbuilders with Dave  Scherrer. We were surprised and joined by many preservice teachers in the chat room. After we spent time helping them to find the audio things quieted down, until Skype stopped and Cheryl was left talking on the stream. You just never know! Enjoy the show.

This show was such a great show. Out of the ordinary, but the very foundation and core of all we do in our schools. The conversations were about how our schools have changed and we are monitoring the sugar intake of our students, kinds of rewards for good behavior, giving more time for exercise, yoga, movement. Join us in this fascinating look at how we can change the culture of our schools.

Welcome to Seedlings and 5-2-1-0! with Bob, Alice, Cheryl and Rick Fortier and Heidi Kessler from the http://www. Letsgo.org foundation.

Seedlings 2009-05-14 with Thomas Cooper

What a blast! Alice and I had a great time quizzing Thomas about how he is involved with his collaborative projects, how he pushes the projects out to others and how his students are engaged and pushing the envelope. The consensus was that we must have Thomas come back. That is a great thing. Thomas will be starting a show in the next school year in Elluminate focusing on different Google topics and special populations. Follow Seedlings for more information.Next week, be sure to stop by and listen to Lisa Parisi and Teachers Talking.

Seedlings, collaborative projects, Thomas Cooper and how to get down!

If you have been wondering how to get started in a collaborative project using some of the google tools, this show is for you. Alice and Cheryl quiz Thomas on how he gets started using a particular tool, how he decides what to publish, research and how he engages many students in hands on learning and decision making.
