Parents as Partners Epidsode # 28 October 5, 2009

Penny and Joanne brought show hosts Cindy Seibel and Lorna Costantini up to date on their introduction of web 2.0 tools in their school. Wired Wednesdays are happening with Penny at the local library. Parents are working with Penny learning how to use Google applications like the calendar and setting their Facebook privacy settings. It is exciting to see Penny take a leadership role in educating parents. Joanne is celebrating the addition of 3 other teachers and her principal to the roster of teachers blogging in her school.

Parents as Partners Episode #25 May 4, 2009 John Pederson and the Network Learning Manifesto

John Pederson joined Cindy Seibel and Lorna Costantini to finally do a follow up to his presentation at Edcuon 2.1. John had presented his Network Learning Manifesto and had included a parent voice as part of his presentation. The backchannel during that workshop and the show chat room from Monday night hosted the same exciting folks. It was a great discussion about how parents can fit in the learning process.

Kathy is well known for her work with her Grade 1 class and their classroom blog. When parents asked Kathy about how she protected her students identity she shared her advice and best practices.
