What a blast! Alice and I had a great time quizzing Thomas about how he is involved with his collaborative projects, how he pushes the projects out to others and how his students are engaged and pushing the envelope. The consensus was that we must have Thomas come back. That is a great thing. Thomas will be starting a show in the next school year in Elluminate focusing on different Google topics and special populations. Follow Seedlings for more information.Next week, be sure to stop by and listen to Lisa Parisi and Teachers Talking.

Susan Ettenheim just started using Sproutbuilder this spring and is always happy to work with VoiceThread, an all time favorite application, so we decided to introduce them to each other with you joining us in the conversation. Trudy Marquardt from Sproutbuilder joined us with Justin Ellsworth, a Sprout using educator, and Ben Papell and Steve Muth from VoiceThread.

Lisa and Maria were joined by Maureen Tumenas to talk about how to help teachers make changes in their approach to curriculum. The discussion centered around how can teachers begin to change the way they have always taught their curriculum so it can be more collaborative, interactive and engaging for students. Should teachers be taking "baby steps" towards using technology or should they be expected to "jump in" with both feet? As usual, there were lots of opinions expressed in this Conversation.

This week we are proud to announce two winners here at EdTechTalk.  Sharon Peters won first place in the ISTE Sigtel Online Learning Award for her work with Karin Muller on their Take 2 Video project. http://take2videos.ning.com/  And Lisa Parisi won third place for the same ISTE Sigtel Online Learning Award for her Poetry Collaboration Project. http://poetrycollaboration.wikispaces.com/  Both of these ETT hosts will be honored at this year's NECC conference in Washington, D.C.

EdTechTalk is a community of people interested in the use of technology to improve teaching and learning at all levels of education throughout the world. As a Worldbridges community, it embraces the values of collaboration and inclusiveness. The primary activity of the community is the production of a number of live, interactive webcasts. These programs cover a wide range of topics relating to educational technology. Shows are typically streamed live, and listeners can interact with one another and the show hosts through a text chat. Recordings of the shows are released as podcasts. Participation in the community is encouraged for anyone who has an interest in educational technology. Participation may take many forms, from simply listening to shows produced by the community to more actively working to produce and distribute content for the network.
