Week of June 13 - 20, 2009
Welcome to this week's edition of the EdTechTalk (ETT) Newsletter. This was a fantastic week of ETT shows with engaging topics and show guests. ET Weekly left listeners with great resources and tons of laughs along the way. Parents as Parents hosted a season finale with Cindy Seibel sharing her grad work about parental involvement. Seedlings had special guest Cynthia Curry who shared her experiences using the 'Universal Design for Learning' curriculum model. Many more conversations occured with other ETT shows through the ETT community, Twitter and Plurk this past week so make sure you are subscribed to these venues so you don't miss any of the great ETT events!

- Cheri Toledo is running a BYOL session entitled Power Boost Your Lessons with Wikis.
- Vinnie Vrotny will be working in a BYOL called Using Emerging Technologies to Create Collaborative Learning Environments.
- Vicki Davis will be running two open source labs called Wonderful World of Wikis: Practical Classroom Wikis and Bookmarks and Beyond: Class Bookmarking Groups and Research 2.0.
The Week in Review
We had a fabulous show discussing UDL, Universal Design for Learning. We believe it is going to be the next best practice adopted by schools around the world. Cynthia Curry, an exceptional educator from Maine, led us through the discussion of how and why this is and should be the underpinning of all classrooms. Join us in the podcast and check out the chat. One more SEEDLINGS show for this school season, then SEEDLINGS goes on hiatus for the summer season.
Matt, Cindy and Lorna traced their steps over the past school year. Highlights of the year were discussed and plans for next falls series were suggested by participants in the chat room.
First time host / long time contributor, John Rundag joins John, Jeff, and Jen to discuss the latest news and resources in education and technology.
On this second of a two-part podcast, Paul Allison and Susan Ettenheim were joined for a second time by five Writing Project teachers from around the country:

We talked about various projects we are doing with our students. Some are in classes during the school day, and some are outside of school hours.

EdTechTalk is a community of people interested in the use of technology to improve teaching and learning at all levels of education throughout the world. As a Worldbridges community, it embraces the values of collaboration and inclusiveness. The primary activity of the community is the production of a number of live, interactive webcasts.
