Shmoop - new learning and teaching resource for literature & history

Hi all,

I was looking to contact the site owners, but I saw their suggestion to post in the forum instead. So, here I am.

I work on Shmoop http://www.shmoop.com

What's Shmoop? It's a new online learning and teaching resource. Shmoop helps make literature, US history, poetry, and writing more fun and relevant for today's students. It's geared toward High School and College-level courses, although we hear from many middle school teachers and students who use Shmoop. A bunch of us (mostly Ph.D. and Masters students from Stanford and Berkeley) have lovingly worked on Shmoop for the past year-and-change. We just opened our doors in November.

I'd love to hear what you think of Shmoop. And please fire away with any questions. You can reach me at [email protected].

I found ETT because a few folks mentioned Shmoop in an ETT chat. We would be more than happy to have our CEO (Ellen Siminoff, one of the founding execs of Yahoo) participate in an ETT webcast.

Also, we have a section of Shmoop for Teachers http://www.shmoop.com/teachers

Thanks!
Brady
