School is just around the corner and parents, students and teachers are all getting themselves ready for school. Parents as Partners is right behind with an exciting fall series of webcasts.

Jeannine St. Amand, Cindy Seibel, Penny Lindballe, Joanne McMahon will join show regulars, Matt Montagne, Lorna Costantini and Cindy Zautcke as we kick off the school year.

Getting started. Parents as Partners in the Edtechtalk community welcomed newcomer parent/teacher team. Great ideas and solutions for working with schools and parents using web 2.0 tools. Matt Montagne and Lorna Costantini shared the air space with Penny Lindballe and Joanne McMahon from Alberta. Pleased to know that they are not alone in experiencing barriers to using these tools, Penny and Joanne went away charged and ready to take the baby steps to encouraging their community to participate.

This show focused on using Web 2.0 tools to connect parentsto the classroom. The beginnings of the development of a platform to demonstrate how these tools and social networking tools can be used with parents and by parents in supporting student success.

Parents as Partners continues to support parent involvement and effective strategies to connect parents and teachers in supporting student achievement. Jacqui Strachan, parent inclusion manager for People for Education shared her insights and experiences helping parents to be involved in their childrens' education. Lorna Costantini, Derrall Garrison, show hosts and Cindy Zautcke, resident parent echoed Jacqui's advice and added their own experiences to the conversation,
